Demolition Approved For Rick Husband Airport

Amarillo city commissioners will spend $1.2 million dollars to demolish part of the existing concourse at Amarillo's Rick Husband International Airport.

The project includes demolition of the concourse itself, and the removal of the existing airport ramp. Funding for the project will be provided through a federal aviation administration grant and the airport capital improvement program.

City officials say they they will now begin accepting bids on the construction of the new airport terminal.
