SCOTUS Hears Guantanamo Bay Case

Supreme Court justices fired questions at both sides today as they took up the case of whether Guantanamo Bay detainees are entitled to civilian court hearings.

A Bush administration attorney said the measures that apply to the detainees already give them more rights than foreigners have traditionally had. But the detainees' attorney said they have no way of challenging their detention.

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Antonin Scalia questioned whether the detainees are entitled to hearings.
