Area Counties Stand Ground Against Bill

Some area counties still won't hand over the money for maintenance on their voting machines.
The Quay County Clerk tells NewsChannel ten she's still hopeful the state will strike a better deal on maintenance contracts for New Mexico's counties.

But a state official tells us as of Monday negotiations have gotten nowhere. Clerk Ellen White says she'd rather have the county's own technicians trained to service the machines, instead of paying more than $11,500 for one year of service.
