The winter storm that began in the Midwest and moved to the Northeast is now blamed for at least 14 deaths.
Police in New Jersey say one person died during the night in a 15-car pileup that also injured 28 people.
Drivers in the Northeast today have been navigating a treacherous mix of rain, sleet and snow. States have put hundreds of plows on the roads, including 650 in New Hampshire. Schools have canceled or delayed classes from New York to Maine as highways became slick and winds gusted to 40 miles an hour.
