ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Hillary Clinton returns to the campaign trail today in Iowa, following yesterday's hostage standoff at 1 of her campaign offices in New Hampshire.
A suspect identified as Leeland Eisenberg is being held on state counts and could face federal charges in the incident. Police say he was wearing road flares that looked like dynamite when he stormed the office in Rochester, New Hampshire, demanding to talk to Clinton about helping him get mental health care.
Five people, including a baby, were taken hostage. The standoff ended peacefully nearly six hours later when Eisenberg surrendered.
Clinton was in Washington yesterday, but traveled to the New Hampshire office last night. She says Eisenberg appears to be "someone who is in need of help" but who she says "sought attention in absolutely the wrong way."
