West Nile Case Discovered in Oklahoma Panhandle

Another human case of West Nile virus has been confirmed in our area.

The Oklahoma Department of Health tells NewsChannel 10 the case was discovered in Cimarron County in the Oklahoma panhandle.

We're told the person who contracted the virus is a man in his 50's.

2007 has been a record year for West Nile cases in Oklahoma with 101 cases reported. A total of 8 people have died from illnesses related to West Nile in Oklahoma so far this year.
