Some everyday Americans have joined forces to
keep you from experiencing their airline nightmare. They were
stranded on several planes last December for up to nine hours.
They have formed the Coalition for Airline Passengers Bill of
Founder Kate Hanni (ha-NEYE') says members feel the airlines are
not honest about their treatment of passengers, especially when
flights are delayed -- and that the government doesn't report such
So they're taking matters into their own hands. Volunteers with
cameras and video recorders will be documenting everything that
happens in airports and airplanes over the holidays.
Passengers can post their own airline complaints or travel
horror stories at www.flyersrights.org. They can also post any
response from the airline, documenting whether they actually got
any help with their problem.
