WTAMU Unveils High Definition Studio

The new High Definition studio at West Texas A&M received a big boost today.

The AT&T Foundation contributed a $150,000 grant to outfit the studio.

The new AT&T High Definition Production Studio will be totally filled with state of the art high definition equipment.

Since every one will be making the transition to HD, this is a way for WT students to stay ahead of the curve.

"I believe we need to train our students to be ahead of the game. They need to be on the cutting edge, and they need to know what's going to be out there before it's out there. With our new High-Def studio, we'll be able to do that."

State representatives John Smithee and David Swinford were in attendance. They are big backers of the project.

The studio is scheduled for completion August 1.
