Update: Inmates taken in Custody by New Mexico Police

Police in New Mexico have nabbed two fugitives from a Kansas prison and a former guard belived to have helped them.

The Kansas department of corrections say inmates Jesse Bell and Steven Ford, and former guard Amber Goff were taken into custody early Tuesday in Grants west of Albuquerque.

Police believe the 23 year old Goff helped Ford and Bell escape from a recreation yard at the El Dorado Correctional facility on Sunday night.

Goff's mother begged the young woman to come home and says Goff often mentioned Ford, and that she had warned her gullible daughter not to let him sweet talk her.

Ford was serving a sentence from Wyandotte County for robbery and indecent liberties.

Bell was serving sentence from Finney,Leavenworth and Cowley Counties for forgery, buglary, battery and escape.
