The San Jon Robotics Team won another state title. The swept both portions of the competition, and this year they had to deal with the loss of a key team player.
"For the last 2 years we've been to nationals, and this year we lost our teacher. We just didn't want it to end. So, we picked it up, and just ran with it. They did a good job," said Tommy Evans the team Advisor.
The Team consists of kids grades 7-12. Even with their teacher leaving, the students were eager to continue forward.
"It felt great. Our teacher wasn't here to help us. From what little people and support we had, we did great. We put everything together quickly and got it done," explained T.J. Evans. His dad is Terry.
