Cameron Sentencing in Clovis

A Clovis man with a planned murder trial this week will go before a judge Monday for his sentence, after changing his plea.

26 year old John Cameron had an original court date in front of a jury later this week on a second degree murder charge.

But he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, Voluntary Manslaughter, in the death of 19 year old Amos Soliz.

Prosecutors say Soliz's roommate and Cameron's mother and stepfather had an ongoing feud, which lead to the October 2006 killing.
