Be Aware of I.R.S. E-Mail Scam

The New Mexico Attorney General is asking his residents to pay attention to a new e-mail scam involving the Internal Revenue Service.

Attorney General Gary King's office says people are receiving e-mails that have a false link to the IRS website.

It asks them to include personal information when they participate in a "member satisfaction survey."

The e-mail says if you participate in this survey, you will receive between $80 and $120 dollars.

If you have received this e-mail, the IRS says do not respond to it because they never send unsolicited e-mails.
