U.S.O. Care Packages

Justin Adams, Event Coordinator Justin Adams, Event Coordinator

If you've wanted to help the troops stationed overseas now's your chance.

A big rig has been travelling around the country to do just that. It's part of the "Waddell and Reed" 70th anniversary Goodwill tour to get the public to sponsor care packages for troops. Amarillo is the 63rd stop on a 70 city tour.

"What we're trying to do is get people to donate 25 dollars and buy a care package to send to troops overseas and we have a lot of good things and useful materials for these troops," says Justin Adams, who coordinated the event.

Those packages contain materials specific to where the troops are stationed. Anything from books, bandanas, gloves, and snacks, are included. If you want to donate you can head out to Westgate Mall Monday October 1st between 10 and 2. They are accepting your credit or debit card if you want to help fund the project.
