West Nile in Oklahoma

The threat of west nile virus in Oklahoma is expected to be greater this year.

Health officials in Oklahoma say that's because there are more mosquitoes in the state. So far, 73 people have been infected in the Sooner State.

Heavy rains and flooding this summer followed by hot, dry weather contributed to the increased number of mosquitoes. Six people died last year after being infected with the west nile virus.
