On August 24th, Habitat for Humanity broke ground on the fifth home to be built in the last six months.

This one was sponsored by the city and Texas Panhandle Builders Association, and is expected to be finished by October.

The home is at 1514 N. Tyler, and will be the final home to be built in the neighborhood.

The family could not be more happy to be getting such a great gift. Cheryl Dever and her dughter Calandra will be moving into the home.

"I can do whatever i want to it, I can change it. I can actually call it my home," Cheryl said.

"We're going to actually have something that's ours. We don't have to worry about if we're going to make this month's rent or something like that."

There is a block party scheduled for the middle of October to celebrate the neighborhood's completion.
