Fair Food Safe to Eat

The Tri-State fair is well underway but how safe is the food there?

A Concessions Committee member says the food is perfectly safe. He says that every booth is inspected by the city Health Department before the fair even opens. The regulations are just as strict as anywhere else.

All concessionaires must wear some type of covering on their head and hands. They're required to wash their hands thoroughly before serving food.

Every booth also has running water that drains into the city's sewer system, so there's no standing water near food.

The city's Health Department spot checks every booth every day. And if they're in violation, they are immediately shut down.
