Union County Poaching Punishment

A New Mexico judge sentenced two Fort Worth men to 90 days in jail, and fined them $10,750 for shooting antelope in Union and Colfax Counties last November.

The State District Judge ordered the two men, in the their young 20's, to write letter of apology to the citizens of the two counties, and to have those letters published in local newspapers.

The Department of Game and Fish took both men's rifles.

A Game Officer called the killing spree the most blatant poaching case he's seen in a decade.
