Make-A-Wish Grants Panhandle Boy's Wish

A three-year-old Pampa boy was granted his wish today when the Make-a-Wish foundation presented him with a miniature pony.

Christian Vasquez was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a form of cancer, back in January.  He told everyone, including the Make-a-Wish foundation, that he wanted a pony.  Well, today he got one.

The seven-year-old Gelding miniature horse was delivered to Christian all the way from Brandenburg, Kentucky.

His name before his arrival here in Texas was "Nostalgia's Anniversary Note."  But today, he has a new name: Christian has named his new horse "Leo."

Make-a-Wish has arranged for all of Leo's vet bills to be paid for his first year with Christian and his family.

Christian will also receive a lead rope, halter and helmet for his new horse.

Christian's father told us they've been coming to Amarillo once a week since march for Christian's treatment.   It must be working, because at his last visit, the tumors were gone.
