MySpace.com link to Downtown Amarillo Graffiti

What police need to arrest the guy they say defaced downtown Amarillo could be on MySpace.com. NewsChannel 10's Marissa Bagg has more on what investigators hope the website will reveal.

Potter County Sheriff's deputies say they know who did it; but they need any graffiti related artwork they may find on his page, to get him in handcuffs.

Thousands of taxpayer dollars will be used to remove this sight from the Santa Fe building. Since the graffiti is so visible and on a historic landmark, it's upset a lot of people. They want to see the person who did it pay.

"In a lot of calls I've received when mention of a reward, most people say they don't care about it, that they just want to catch these people that are destroying property in my community," says Sergeant David Brown, with the Potter County Sheriff's Office.

Since deputies asked for your help to catch him, they've gotten a lot closer to arresting him. Now they want to catch him on MySpace. We haven't been able to find him, but you could, and close the case for police.

"It's a slap in the face to the public and this community because he is getting up on county property and defacing county property, says Sgt. Brown.

Sergeant Brown is so dedicated to arresting the suspect, he gave us a cell phone number. If you have any information that would help in this case call him at 336-4943.
