Gun Safety Day

Knowing how to use a gun and stay safe at the same time is always an issue for new gun users.

The Potter County Sheriff's office was out today educating people on how to use the weapons properly in their annual firearms class.  The class consisted of three free seminars where participants could handle, load, shoot and unload a variety of weapons.

Sgt. Robert Huddleston says, "It gives everybody a chance to have some instruction on how to do that safely, in a safe manner and provide a safe environment for them to shoot their weapons."

The class specializes in teaching new gun owners and teens the in's and out's of their weapons as well as helping them correct shooting and handling mistakes.

For more information about the next available class contact the Potter County Sheriffs office at 379-2906.
