Three West Texas A & M football players face suspension for their involvement in a campus rape investigation.

Fellow athletes tell us the university is taking the right action. Even though the three football players in question have not been arrested, some fellow athletes agree they should not be allowed to play ball while they're under investigation.

"I think that's the right thing to do," says soccer player Rene Gomez. "The first thing to do is to suspend them...until everything is figured out."  We're told at least one of the football players in question was living at Jones Hall over the weekend, where a freshman reported she was raped.

Police tell us they've conducted more interviews, but they haven't come to any conclusions. They're expected to hand over the case to the Randall County District Attorney next week.
