You could be at risk for a serious eye infection if you're using a certain contact solution product. Officials with The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say more than half of the people using contact lenses are unaware of a recall from May.

NewsChannel 10 told you about it in May but CDC officials say more people need to be aware of it. Advanced Medical Optics, Complete Moisture Plus Contact Lens Solutions were recalled due to concerns over eye infections. Specifically an organism called Acanthamoeba, which could cause blindness.

Officials say that's rare but could happen. NewsChannel 10 spoke with Neal Nossaman, O.D. with Broome Optical. He says if you have a sudden vision problem, eye pains, or redness you could have an infection and should have a doctor look at it.

The recalled product is off the shelves but some of you may still have a bottle if you bought it before the recall. Officials say if you still have any, stop using it immediately. If you have questions about the recalled product or want to be reimbursed call 1-888-899-9183.
