Renovating Hotel Clovis

Efforts are underway to make Hotel Clovis a viable living and working spot downtown.

The building has been closed for 20 years, but Mainstreet Clovis is taking the historic structure under their wing. They hope to open up most of its floors for low-cost senior housing, and have the remaining space for offices and businesses.

"We think this is the catalyst to nurture downtown and bring a lot of these buildings back to life again,' says Marty Tressell with Mainstreet Clovis

Mainstreet already has a developer in mind for the project. It will require a major overhaul inside, but they hope to have the building open in two to five years.
