Federal agents raid Cactus Swift plant again

Another immigration raid at the Cactus Swift plant has some people afraid to show their faces there.

A Swift spokesman tells us federal agents took just two people into custody... But witnesses say two federal vans showed up at the plant this morning. And immigration officials have not confirmed how many people they hauled off under arrest. NewsChannel 10 spoke with one illegal immigrant in Cactus who has now dodged two immigration raids, but doesn't know how long his luck will last.

The second Swift raid in seven months has sent some illegal immigrants into hiding in Cactus. One illegal Swift employee supposed to report for work on this afternoon's shift says he's not sure when he'll be back.  The man we'll call Carlos says he's been an illegal worker at swift for two years now.  After this morning's raid he cried when he saw his wife and baby again. "I hid during the last raid," he says, and this time he was lucky enough to avoid deportation again.

ICE agents confirm they carried out part two of Operation Wagon Train at the Cactus Swift plant this morning.   After discovering some Swift employees had been using IDs reported stolen to the Federal Trade Commission. One woman who lives in Cactus worries about what immigrants will do next. The raids are unjust she says..and she's says she's bringing food to immigrants like Carlos taking refuge at an unamed location for fear the agents might return for them.
