Burglary Caught on Tape

"Someone knows these two guys and hopefully they will do the right thing and turn them in," says Donnie Allen, Store Owner. "Someone knows these two guys and hopefully they will do the right thing and turn them in," says Donnie Allen, Store Owner.

Caught on tape: a burglary at a business.  The owner speaks out about the crime hoping you will help nab the crooks.

The burglary happened at the Specialty Supply Store in Amarillo early Saturday morning.

The two men allegedly made it out with more than $20,000 worth of merchandise.

Store owner Donnie Allen shares what he says happened:  "We have an ability to see our shop from the house from our security cameras, so we looked and could tell we were having a burgulary.  So we called the police, and the police made it up here before I did.  They did a sweep of the building and the burglars were already gone," said Allen.

The crime happened around 4:45 a.m. Saturday.

The surveillance tape does show two men chain the front door and pull it off with a pickup truck.  The men then proceed inside to take expensive construction lasers and saws, but not much else.  The entire crime lasted only two and a half minutes.

According to Allen the truck was later found stolen and was recovered.  He doesn't understand why people would do this.

"It's frustrating to say the least.  It doesn't seem fair I guess you could say.  We haven't done anything to these guys which is one of the reasons I wanted to put out this video.  Someone knows these two guys and hopefully they will do the right thing and turn them in," says Allen.

This is not the first time the store has been hit, but this is the most damage that has been done.
