Logan Stand-off

The New Mexico SWAT team was called in to get a Logan man out of his home Monday morning.

According to New Mexico State Police, Manuel Trujillo was taken into custody after a stand-off at 103 N. 3rd St. Around 8:15 Monday morning.

Sgt. Andrew Tingwall tells us that early reports state Trujillo hit his girlfriend with a baseball bat, and then pulled a gun on her in a domestic dispute.

She fled to a local Allsups to report the dispute.

Trujillo did not follow her into the Allsups.

He then returned to his home, where state police later arrived.

Police saw Trujillo inside the home but he would not respond when they knocked at the door.

The SWAT team was called in, and at 8:15 this morning Trujillo surrendered.

The woman was taken to Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari and was released this morning.
