Dumas "Dogie Days" Celebration

The 61st annual "Dogie Days" celebration is underway at McDade Park in Dumas. Carnival rides, games, food, and entertainment are available for the whole family.

On Thursday, June 14th, a BBQ will be held from 11:00 until 1:30 at the park, with over 6,000 people expected to attend. Tickets are $7 per person and are available for purchase from any Dumas Lions Club member. Each ticket for the BBQ enters you in a drawing for the chance to wina 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

On Satuday, June 16th at 11:00 am, there will be a parade down Main street in Dumas. You can register your float by calling the Dumas/Moore County Chamber of Commerce at 935-2123.

Proceeds from the "Dogie Days" celebrations will go to benefit area charities like: Meals on Wheels, the Moore County Senior Citizens Center, The American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish, the Boy Scouts of America, Crimestoppers, Safe Place, GirlsTown, and Leader Dog for the Blind.
