Amarillo Teachers Heading to NASA

Four Sam Houston middle school teachers in Amarillo have been selected by NASA to be "Texas middle school aerospace scholars."

Joe Dwyer, Sally Heaton, Kat LaRue, and Lisa Mott will head to the Johnson Space Center in Houston this summer to learn the latest technology used in the space program.

They will then use what they have learned to integrate it into the school curriculum at Sam Houston middle school.

There are a total of 80 teachers from across Texas participating in the program.
