Weekend Child Death

An accident claimed the life of a three-year-old this Memorial Day weekend. It happened just after 4 p.m. in the 4000 Block of South Ross.

According to Amarillo Police, a ten-year-old started her parent's car to move it into the garage. She was unable to stop the vehicle before pinning three-year-old Anahi Hernandez between the garage wall and the vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
