Thursday on the early show, we told you about the raise of more than $6,000 for Clovis Superintendent Rhonda Seidenwurm. Jacob Albracht did some research to find out how the Clovis salary compared to other districts around Texas and New Mexico. Seidenwurm's new total salary will be $134,925. Human Resources at Roswell told us that their Superintendent made around $106,000 per year. Although this salary is lower than the new Clovis salary, Clovis school board president Max Best, told us that they did research and compare to other similar sized districts in the state to decide on the amount of the raise. Clovis has roughly 8,000 students in the district. The average salary of a similar sized district for Texas is $143,228.
