Whistleblower Lawsuit

Two former Randall County employees say the county fired them because they tried to stop illegal dumping.

Today, they take Randall County to court.

Their lawyers say the county fired the men because they reported illegal dumping at the caliche pit to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

They also said the county employees drove dump trucks, without the proper license.

The lawyers for the former employees say the Texas Whistleblowers Act protected their jobs.

A judge from Dalhart will preside over the trial.
