A month later, damage remains in Logan

One family we first spoke with right after the tornadoes in March continues to deal with the disaster in Logan tonight.

Newschannel10's Tina Berasley brings us the story.

This was the scene at the Lawrence-Savala home less than 30 days ago...and this is what it looks like today.

Charlene Lawrence has lived in her Logan home for years. She tells us what her family has been doing over the last month. "Cleaning up and applying for FEMA. Not much else right now... we'll try to get as much done as we can without having to pay out".

Family and friends have been trying to re-attach the roof taken away by the tornado, but it is a costly project, that's getting more expensive by the day.

Lawrence's daughter Dawnique described exactly what's wrong with her home "They've got the beams up right there because the beams that are going across were bowing down because of the water damage so they've got that up so it doesn't fall...it will be unliveable for awhile".

The six member family is living in a trailer just down the road. But they're unwilling to give up on the home they've lived in for many years, and are hoping the money will come soon.

Savala added "It's stressful. It seems like everything takes time to hear from FEMA and stuff but they've been wonderful...its kinda frustrating but I know it will take time."
