Sexual Assault Awareness Month

In conjunction with Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Family Support Services of Amarillo is hosting April events to assist in educating and informing the public about sexual assault.

Hope & Possibilities Luncheon

Wednesday, April 25th

11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Amarillo Civic Center Plaza

Featuring Trisha Meili, The Central Park Jogger, the runner who was brutally attacked and left for dead in 1989, survived and has a best-selling book about life after tragedy. She is scheduled to present a very uplifting and motivational talk. Buffet catered by Bourbon Street Cafe. Tickets are $25 per person, tables are available. For more information, call 342-2503.

Walk A Mile

Saturday, April 14th

9 a.m. - noon

Memorial Park

A FREE non-competitive event, great for families, children's activities including face-painting, games, fingerprinting by Crimestoppers. Walkers will get goodie bags and refreshments.
