Texas DPS, Renew Your Drivers License Online

The Texas Department of Public Safety wants to help make your life a little less stressful.
That's why they offer online services where you can renew your drivers license or change
your address.  Out of the millions of people who can use this tool only 20% do.  That's
why DPS wants to promote their online services.  Starting Monday April 2nd DPS will run new
ads in Amarillo and across Texas to remind people how the website can help you.

If you would like to try the website click on "get more".  Once on the website click on
drivers license renewal.   Fill out the proper information depending on what you need
to do.  You should have your current drivers license on hand to enter in certain numbers
as well as your social security number.  The online renewal is only good every other time
you need to renew. So if you went inside to renew last time then this time you can renew
online.  You'll need a credit card to pay for it.  It cost one dollar more than a renewal
in person.  You should receive your new license in about 2-4 weeks.  Those involved say it is easy, fast, and they hope more convenient for you.
