Salvation Army Around Town for Support

You usually only hear bell ringers for the Salvation Army around Christmas, but right now the organization is making an exception due to the recent tornado damage.

The signature red kettles are set up at the Albertsons, Walgreens and Wal-Mart in Clovis, NM and Portales, NM.

All the money donated will help local tornado victims.

"It's not just the short-term recovery, being in shelters, food, and that sort of thing.  We're looking at more long term support right now," says Daisy Alegre-Cruz, representative for the Salvation Army.

On Saturday alone more than $4,500 was donated.
