The tornado that hit Clovis, NM on Friday left a mean mark on Yucca Junior High School. This evening crews are hard work clearing debris and patching the school building up. There is still concern that the 750 students who attend the school will not be able to return.

They are worried about fixing the $800,000 in damage at Yucca Junior High School, especially the electricity. If it's not on, school won't happen on Monday.
"We lost the sky lights in our gym, so that's a total loss. Our main concern is electricity and gas," says Rhonda Seidenwurm, Clovis ISD Superintendent.
That's because the tornado gutted the roofs, messing up wiring and tossing around the heating and cooling units. Still, there is hope.
"You re-group and move on," says David Gonzales, aparent whose daughter attends the school. "Thank God nobody else was seriously injured."
