New Painkiller Warning

A new warning is released tonight about taking aspirin or painkillers to try to prevent colon cancer.

The US Preventive Services Task Force says people at average risk of colon cancer create other greater risks by taking such pills.

The panel says consuming over 300 mgs per day of aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs increases the possibility of stroke, intestinal bleeding, or kidney failure.

According to the task force, those risks outweigh any benefit from the pills.
