Refinery Blaze is Extinguished

Tonight the big blaze is extinguished and the investigation into what caused the explosion at the Valero McKee Refinery near Dumas is heating up.

It was Friday when the fire erupted sending huge plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.  More than 400 workers evacuated and the plant was shut down.

NewsChannel 10 is told that the it is believed that the blaze began at the refinery's "propane de-asphalting unit," where fuel is processed at high temperatures.
