Vice-President to Fly Panhandle Skies

Pilots will have to clear the skies over Pampa several times a day over the weekend.

Chamber of Commerce Director Patrick Vanderpool says it's because of a visit from Vice-President Dick Cheney.

Vanderpool says Cheney is coming through the Pampa area this weekend on his way to the T. Boone Pickens ranch.

The FAA has confirmed flight restrictions over the weekend...the kind put in place for the protection of very important people.

"It's for a three nautical mile radius area and up to 3000 feet above ground level."

Area law enforcement could not confirm a vice presidential visit.
