Wal-Mart Evacuated

Just within the last hour, a local Wal-mart re-opened its doors for its customers...

Around 8:00 tonight, the Wal-Mart on Gem Lake road in Amarillo was evacuated.

Several people shopping inside the store tell NewsChannel 10 they were asked to leave by store personnel because of an alleged bomb threat.

We did call Amarillo police...they are still investigating this matter and are unable to confirm these reports.

We will bring you the most up to date information in the morning on the early show.

This is the second bomb threat in our area in the past two days...

Yesterday the Memphis School district was forced to evacuate its students after a bomb threat was found written on a bathroom stall door.
