Next time you go to the Amarillo Symphony you'll experience the music with a brand new conduction. Kimbo Ishii-Eto is officially the new conductor. The announcement came Monday night at the Globe News Center for the Performing Arts. The new conductor immediately led the orchestra through a short concert . Those involved say finding the person to best fit the job took about 22 months. Over 200 people applied for the position. A special committee selected a final four people who all performed in Amarillo with the Symphony. Kimbo is now the 16th conductor in the symphony's 82 year history.
