Students Taking "Safe Rides"

In effort to reduce alcohol related deaths, Eastern New Mexico University has started a "Safe Ride Program."

It's a service run completely by students, for students.  At any time, a student can call Safe Ride if they've had too much to drink or if they just feel unsafe.  Drivers will pick them up and take them to their homes in Portales.

Free rides are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
