Pantex Faces Fines

Pantex could be fined for missing information on hundreds of employees.

This stems back to last May, when immigration officials asked Pantex for "I-9" forms for  current and certain former employees. I-9 forms are used to prove you are eligible to work in the U.S.

But, Pantex could not locate information for more than 400-employees because some of the  employment records had either been lost or stolen.

Most of those records have been found or new paperwork was filled out by workers.

At this time, there is no evidence any employee's information has been stolen by identity thieves.

We did contact both Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Pantex, but only received a written statement regarding the ongoing investigation.
