A Clovis man says he did not commit murder... but a jury found him guilty.
31-year-old Robert Macias says he was sleeping when the killing happened.
According to the District Attorney's office, Macias shot 18 year-old Wilfred Salas, Jr. while he was driving. Macias fired three shots at the victim's car, and the final shot went through the back window of the victim's vehicle striking him in the head.
Salas was transported to the hospital, and was later flown to a Lubbock hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Macias was arrested 11 days later.
But during his testimony, Macias says he was sleeping at his friend's house when the shooting occurred.
Macias now faces a life sentence plus 14 years.
