Graduation rates in Texas high schools continue to tumble. According to education experts, one out of three students never graduate and even more drop out.
They say statewide, more than 2.5 million students dropped out of high school in the last twenty years. Each graduating class loses about 120,000 students from freshman year to senior year.
Experts are warning that the high dropout rate will lead to economic and social problems. Dropout prevention and college preparation programs have been formed in effort to turn the stats around.
