State Hopes to Keep Kids-Medical Records Connected

The state's foster care system is getting a four-million dollar boost to keep kids and their medical records connected.

That's after fears were raised among Texas leaders that some children in foster care are not getting the best health care...because they frequently move between homes and their medical records get lost.

Texas usually has 20-thousand children per month in foster care.

The funding is part of federal grants to 27 states for various Medicaid projects.
