Crackdown on Illegals

Federal officials say a series of raids in southern California this past week netted more than 750 illegal immigrants.
A  customs and immigration spokeswoman says more than 450 of them have already been deported.

The sweeps targeted illegal immigrants who had previously been deported for crimes or had ignored final deportation orders.

The sweeps were part of a crackdown that's resulted in 13-thousand arrests nationwide since June.
