N. M. Governor Eyeing White House

New Mexico Governor Bill  Richardson's intentions to explore a 2008 presidential bid are now official.

He's filed paperwork today with the Federal Election Commission and the New Mexico public Regulation Commission.

A Richardson spokesman says the move officially creates a committee that will allow Richardson to begin raising money and assembling his campaign organization.

Richardson will reportedly decide this spring after the New Mexico legislative session whether to officially jump in the race.
