Winning Lottery Ticket in Amarillo

One lucky person in Amarillo is now a multi-millionaire.

The winning ticket was bought at Taylor Petroleum store at 34th and Coulter.

The ticket matched all five numbers and the mega ball number drawn last night for the 122 million-dollar jackpot.

According to the Texas Lottery cCmmission...the buyer opted for a cash value option.

That means a cash pay-out of just over 71-point-eight million dollars. So far a winner has not come forward to claim the prize.

Amarillo has had other lottery past. Back in 1993 two people had winning tickets in Amarillo, they split a 50 million dollar pot with 12 other winners across the state.

In 1995 one person won 11-million dollars with a ticket they hadpurchased at a Pilot truck stop.

Then in 1999 another lucky person in Amarillo won 12-million dollars from a ticket they had bought at a local Albertson's store.
