Clovis Offers Perk to Passing Students

Clovis High School is adopting a new method of motivating their students.

Starting later this month...any student with grades of "C" or above will be released 20 minutes early for lunch.

Those students with grades below "C" will remain in study hall.

Principal Jody Balch said poor grades are more common at the high school than they used to be.

He says about 60% of students will earn a longer lunch and he hopes it will motivate others to do well.
